Now that I have survived all the perils of a long life,

I spend most of my productive time teaching computer science courses

at the college/university level , developing Web Pages for very special clients,

or designing and delivering custom software courses for specialized groups in Dallas.

My leisure time I spend getting trained by " 'Da Boys ",

which you will meet elsewhere on this page.

" THE GLORIOUS ONE "

This is one of the better parts of my home page.

Towards the end of each year, everybody is singing a great song: "Gloria, Gloria..." or something like that. We both know it was really written for another reason, but it sorta fits her as well.

Gloria and I have lots of fun every day.....I kid her constantly about everything and anything....She says she can't tell when I'm kidding or not....[GOOD]..

Here is one of our better pics made in summer of 2001 during a vacation trip to California.

See what I mean?

Anyway, she is a super pal. Always trusting and totally dependable. She will do what she says. If she remembers she said it!

I am her "driver", she is my housekeeper. Actually, I drive better than she ........OOPS! Almost got into trouble here.

We both maintain "Da Boys".....They are our lively entertainment system. Of, course, they must call in the neighberhood when

they make their deposits in the many special boxes we have just for them.....

Gotta be a way to make some $$$ with that awful stuff....

She likes to begin watching Video movies: She sees the first 30 minutes or so, then rests her eye lids the rest of the time...

I think that I have seen most of the videos we have, but she is still trying to get to the 10% viewed level....

When reading one of her library books, she always reads the first page about 6 or maybe 7 times. That's because she is

sleeping soundly (with great accompanying noises to boot) before she gets to the bottom of the page. BUT---let me say this:

When she's awake she is

D Y N A M I T E !

Especially when she is going out to eat !

Also, speaking of food, she's a great cook....lot's of "Go Boxes" in the frig to choose from. Her best and fastest

cooking tricks seem to involve a large square metal box with a glass door on the front....

the one with the timer on it! And when she cooks one of her best dishes---macaroni & cheese--she

actually measures each step and follows the directions on the box. The kitchen then needs a re-modeling job.

Isn't she JUST WONDERFUL?

She's a super Granny...my grand kids or hers...and just about anybody elses as well. She has such a super knack

for being a granny.....Diaper Duty is a natural....THAT'S NOT FOR ME!

Boy, am I glad she's there at those awful times!

That's got to be

cruel and inhumane punishment!

Enough about HER....After all , this is MY page.

PS>>>>>Purtyphat Kitty has been my Spell Checker while generating these commentsssssssssss...

He didn't do tooooo well in his english course either. akjsdoiwekljfokdfxxxxx

This portion is in cherished memory of my wonderful cat

" Mr. Penguin "

who was laid to rest on April 6, 2002, at the tender age of 17 years old..

He was the perfect cat---and was my pal for many years.

This portion is in cherished memory of Gloria's wonderful cat

" Punkin "

who was laid to rest on Jan 30, 2001, at the grand 'ol age of 17 years.

Such a great friend to her in hard times.

This is the same day that "Garage Kitty" came to adopt us !

This portion is in cherished memory of Our White Collie Dog

" Mr. Thomas Beckett "

who was laid to rest on January 23, 1998. He was 14 years young!

CURRENT CRITTERS

Here is the true story of two little boys----trapped in the bodies of gorgeous CATS! They really control the home ranch.....Dogs have owners, cats have STAFF.!!

Each one has it's own distinct personality, and his own way of keeping us in line.....

Purtyphat Kitty

This little kitty was about one year old and was a "Feral Cat" (wild). He came into our garage on a stormy day during the winter seeking refuge from the cold, the damp, and the ugly. Every time we left, I saw him run under the door to escape us...So we parked the car outside to not run over him! (See how he is already controlling us !) His name at that time was "Garage Kitty"........

I then fixed him a place to sleep, and was bringing food, milk, and water to him twice daily. That did it! Each day I moved HIS food closer to where I sat. He still came, until I could finally touch him....then pet him....then pick him up....then place him in my lap and pet him, etc......That really did it! We then took him to "get his shots" so he would not bring stuff in to us or the other guys.......

One Sunday morning I took his rations to the garage. He was feeling very bad...he had been stung by a scorpion or something. He looked like he had a large ball in his mouth!

REALLY BAD!

So Monday, off to the Vet we tracked, and he got fixed for that---and fixed on the other end too! OUCH! We could not let him outside for several days--so down comes the garage door all the way.......On about the 7th or 8th day I was going to see about him, and he just darted between my legs into our house and made himself at home....got along fine with the other guys... So, now his name became "House Kitty".

Now we have three house cats:

Mr. Penguin, Prince, and House Kitty!

With all the "good lovin', good food, and good sleeping places", he has gained a lot of weight. So his name now--and his final name--is

"Purtyphat Kitty".

Isn't this a wonderful story of how God can strengthen our own lives by sending us his wonderful little critters that depend on US to take care of them?

Prince

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there lived a very young kitten in a drug house. He didn't know, nor care, because his mother cat was there to take care of him.

But, one day, some very nice Animal Control Officers came and got the entire tribe--Mother Cat and Kittens, and took them to a new and better home. All is well. Everyone at the Animal Recycle Center fell in love with this little baby kitten, and kept him for several months before displaying him to prospective new owners.

When they did show him, I had arrived to pick out a new DOG to replace Sir Thomas Becket (pictured above) that had passed a year earlier, and was still sorely missed.

While walking down the hallway to where the DOGS were kept, I had to pass the glass door that goes into the CATS area. Low, and Behold----I saw this beautiful cat motioning to me to come in and pet him, litterly! So, I went in, opened his cage, and he just crawled up into my arms and purred.......

After returning home without any new critters, I thought and thought and thought about that cute little guy. We called the Recycle Center, he was still there, so we put a hold on this kitty.

We got him the next day and brought him home to share love and affection with our entire tribe. Named him "Prince" because he looks and acts so very Princely--like Royalty!

You know---that's the funniest dog

that I have ever seen!

Since that wonderful day when he moved to our castle, he has been just wonderful. He has amazed us almost daily with his learning skills. He has quickly learned to ignore us......he has quickly learned to do what HE wants regardless of what we ask---he has quickly learned NOT to come when we call him. Sure sounds like a "PRINCE" to me!

Isn't It Just WONDERFUL To Have Little Friends?
